Teaching your child at home asks a parent to be many things at once. The one thing it too often asks them to be is alone.
Families choose to teach at home for good reasons — pace, values, a child who needs a setting the system can't offer. What they rarely want is the isolation that can come with it. Our Independent Study Program was built to keep the good parts of home education and return the parts families miss.
How the partnership works
The division of labor is simple. Parents provide the instruction. The Academy provides the curriculum and the support behind it — the same coursework and standards used across the school, ready for a parent to teach. You stay the teacher of your own child; you just stop having to invent the whole school from scratch.

The part families miss most
Ask a home-educating parent what is hardest and the answer is rarely academic. It is belonging. Eligible Partnership students take part in clubs, field trips, enrichment, special events — and, when the time comes, graduation. A child educated at the kitchen table still gets to be part of a school.
Home gives a family flexibility. A school gives a child a place to belong. This program is an attempt to refuse the trade-off.
An honest word
This is a partnership, not a hand-off. The parent still leads the day-to-day teaching, and that work is real. What changes is that you do it with a curriculum under you, support beside you, and a community around your child.
