The Program
Home education, with a school behind it
The DPA Independent Study Program is for K–12 families who have chosen to educate their children at home. Parents provide the instruction; Discovery Preparatory Academy provides the curriculum and academic resources that support each student’s pathway — the same coursework and standards used across the Academy.
What it adds is the part families teaching at home most often miss: a community. Eligible students take part in clubs, activities, field trips, enrichment, special events, and — when the time comes — graduation and commencement.
